By Train
The Versailles Chateau Rive Gauche station, which is a 10-minute walk from the palace, is served by the RER C line. SNCF trains go to Versailles’ additional railway stations, Chantiers and Rive Droite, each a 20-minute walk from the palace, from Paris’ Montparnasse and St. Lazare stations.
By Bus
Versailles Express is a daily transfer service that takes double-decker coach buses from the Eiffel Tower. It’s best if you buy your ticket at least 24 hours ahead of time.
By Car
You may park at a paid area in front of the palace, the Place d’Armes if you choose to rent a car and drive yourself to take the Palace of Versailles tour. From the center of Paris, it’s roughly a 40-minute trip.
All guests above the age of 11 must wear masks (as per the governmental decree 2020-548 of 11 May 2020). It is required that visitors bring their own masks (no mask will be sold or distributed on-site).
Unknown parts of the Palace of Versailles will be revealed by a guide for the attraction, including those that are not accessible to lone visitors. Furthermore, if you have reserved a guided tour, you will have direct access to the palace during your scheduled visit.
The Palace and the Estate of Versailles are now available to the public. Health precautions and population control measures have been implemented in accordance with government rules.
From November through March, the Versailles Estate is open to the public on the first Sunday of each month.
